With the new 18-volt brushless motor from HITACHI / HiKoki and the revolutionary "Air Spring Drive System", these two cordless nailers eliminate the need for an air hose and compressor
The need for an air hose and compressor. In addition, Hitachi's lithium-ion system also eliminates the use of gas cartridges-
an advantage that some other competitors cannot currently offer. Constructed from the foundations of Hitachi's high quality
pneumatic nailers, the Hitachi 18V cordless strip nailers are designed to handle like an air nailer, but are still able to deliver
deliver more than enough power from the motor and battery to drive nails from 50-90 mm with ease. Thanks to Hitachi's "Air Spring Drive System",
which uses continuous compressed air sealed in a compression chamber to drive out each nail with power and intensity, resulting in
Zero ramp time and allows drive-out speeds of up to 2 nails per second. The list of standard features on every Hitachi
NR1890 cordless strip nailer includes a tool-free depth drive of the nail, a selective actuation switch for
Single and contact triggering, a battery charge indicator, as well as an integrated swivel rafter hook and a side lock switch,
to prevent a nail from being accidentally driven out. A dry-shot safety device with a stock of approx. 7-9 nails in the magazine rounds off the
Safety range. Powered by Hitachi's maintenance-free brushless motor in combination with the BSL1850 (8.0Ah) Li-ion battery, these
Battery strip nailers can process up to 700 nails per charge.

Full flexibility with the revolutionary multi-volt battery generation from HITACHI / HiKOKI
The innovative battery technology from the Japanese power tool manufacturer makes it possible to use 36-volt batteries in 18-volt tools.
One battery, two volt classes - no problem with the new and innovative multi-volt battery packs from HITACHI Power Tools / HiKOKI. The 36-volt lithium-ion batteries are also compatible with cordless tools in the 18-volt class. This is made possible by intelligent connection technology: the battery recognizes whether it is being used in an 18 or 36 volt device and automatically adjusts the voltage. "With our multi-volt batteries, we have developed a technology that not only offers the user high performance, but also full flexibility," says Yasushi Fukui, Managing Director of Koki Holdings Europe GmbH. The multi-volt batteries from HITACHI / HiKOKI will be available from specialist retailers from May 2018.
More power in the same size
With 36 volts, the BSL 36B18 multi-volt batteries have a capacity of 8.0 ampere hours (Ah), with 18 volts it is 5.0 Ah. This gives the 36-volt batteries an output of more than 1,000 watts. And the best thing is that although the 36-volt batteries have more power than the 18-volt batteries, there is hardly any difference in size. Size and weight remain almost the same. This means that the multi-volt batteries can be used in a wide range of appliances in the 18-volt class.
Long battery life thanks to integrated cooling system
The advantage of this flexibility is particularly evident at high power levels, such as with the new C3606DA cordless circular saw. At 36 volts, half the amperage of 18 volts is sufficient to achieve the same performance. The low amperage and integrated cooling system mean that the battery heats up much less. This in turn has a positive effect on capacity and service life: the battery can develop its full power for longer. Professionals can use the C3606DA cordless circular saw in conjunction with the new multi-volt batteries to cut even the toughest materials. The new DS36DA cordless drill driver also benefits from the 36-volt power of the multi-volt battery packs: compared to current 18-volt machines, the multi-volt version is up to 20 percent faster. In addition to the multi-volt battery packs, all new devices are also equipped with particularly powerful and durable brushless motors.
Charged in just a few minutes
With the UC 18YSL3 quick charger, the new 36-volt batteries are fully charged in just 32 minutes. All HITACHI / HiKOKI chargers for sliding seat lithium-ion batteries are compatible with the new multi-volt batteries. The batteries are also particularly durable: they can be recharged up to 1,500 times without any loss of performance. A charge level indicator on the battery itself shows the available energy in four stages.
Pioneering technology
The new multi-volt batteries from HITACHI / HiKOKI are unique in the industry in terms of their compatibility. With comparable wattage, they are also lighter and smaller than the competition. This revolutionary battery technology sets new standards in terms of cordless freedom. "With the new generation of multi-volt batteries, HITACHI / HiKOKI is breaking down the barriers previously set by the volt classes," says Managing Director Fukui.
